Story Telling
amplifying the voices of young mothers and shifting dominant narratives
We create a safe space where girls and adolescent mothers can share their stories without fear of being judged. Which use our Voices to challenge the dominant narratives that have been there about women and girls and shifting narratives about young womens and advocate for their inclusion and advocate for policy change.
What we do
What story telling actually involves
Peer teaching
The young mothers who went to technical school come back and teach, so the skills stay in the community that produced them.
Beauty and fashion skills
Practical training the young mothers asked for, and that other young mothers in the community can learn.
A learning hub
A community space where learning happens between peers, rather than as a service delivered to them.
Technical school
Young mothers are supported into technical school, and those who take it further come back to teach the hub.
